Ironclad
Ironclads are walking tanks: riveted plates take a set amount off every hit, so SMG bullets and shotgun pellets barely scratch them.

How to beat the Ironclad
- Switch to your heaviest single shots: the Desert Hawk, Breacher, Tactical DMR and Railgun punch through the plates.
- Explosions and grenades ignore the plates, and so does burning.
- Toxic corrodes them to half strength, and shock is their weakness.
Health and damage by map
Enemies get tougher on harder maps, deeper into each map, and with more players in the squad (see co-op). In the first area of each map:
| Map | Health (solo) | Damage (solo) | Health (4 players) | Damage (4 players) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Overgrown Outpost | 128 | 34 | 242 | 44.2 |
| Sunken Ruins | 191 | 45.9 | 363 | 59.7 |
| Obsidian Citadel | 255 | 57.8 | 484 | 75.1 |
An elite Ironclad (gold ring, from 2 players up) has 1.8× the health and 1.25× the damage, and pays 2.5× the XP and 2× the gold.
Elements
Takes 50% extra damage from Shock. Takes 50% less from Fire.
Where it appears
| Map | Area | As |
|---|---|---|
| Sunken Ruins | Flooded Halls | A special a pack can bring |
| Sunken Ruins | Colossus Pit | A special a pack can bring |
| Obsidian Citadel | Barracks | A special a pack can bring |
| Obsidian Citadel | Courtyard | Ambushes |
| Obsidian Citadel | Inner Halls | A special a pack can bring |
In Survival and Defend it joins the waves from wave 8 (sooner with a bigger squad).
Loot
Each kill pays 14 XP (more on harder maps) to every player and drops 3–5 gold per map tier, shared by the squad. It drops a mod crate 4% of the time, a gun case 2% and an armour plate 1%.
