Co-op
Squadbreak is built for up to 4 players. Start a game and friends can drop in from the lobby while it runs. A bigger squad faces a bigger and tougher horde, with better rewards to match.
Joining a squad
- Start any mode on any map; it shows up in everyone’s lobby under Join a squad.
- Anyone can join while the game runs, until it has 4 players.
- Each player plays their own character, with their own level, class, guns and skills.
How the enemies scale
| Squad | Enemies per pack | Enemy health | Boss health | Enemy damage | Elites | Chance a pack brings a special |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 player | 1× | 100% | 100% | 100% | 0% | 30% |
| 2 players | 1.55× | 130% | 175% | 110% | 10% | 45% |
| 3 players | 2.1× | 160% | 250% | 120% | 20% | 60% |
| 4 players | 2.65× | 190% | 325% | 130% | 30% | 75% |
From 3 players a pack can bring 2 specials. In Survival and Defend, tougher enemy types join the waves one wave earlier for each extra player.
Elites
With 2 or more players, 10% of enemies per extra player spawn as elites, marked with a gold ring: 1.8× health, 1.25× damage and a little faster, but 2.5× the XP, 2× the gold and 2× the loot.
Loot in a squad
- Gold is shared: when anyone picks up gold, everyone gets it.
- Gun cases and armour plates are picked up for the whole squad, and each player rolls their own gun or suit.
- Every kill pays XP to every player.
Going down together
A downed player gets back up after 12 seconds where they fell, and faster with a Medic standing over them (the Medic’s Resuscitation skill). If everyone is down at the same time, the run is over, so stick together.
